Andrew Horton, jump started his career with his first Business venture, a gymnasium, over 20 years ago. Since then Andrew has owned and operated a number of very successful businesses in a wide variety of industries.
Andrew saw the potential for huge growth in the tourism industry in 1993 and entered this market that year and built a very successful tour & transfer company. He identified the synergy between the tourism and conferencing markets; and to explore this, he started a very successful conferencing company in 1995 that offered a venue geared toward meeting this demand. As a natural progression he ventured into the dive industry and bought a dive facility in 2001 to further extend his business offering to the tourism market and to grow his business and product offering.
He was looking for a new challenge and in 2002 he bought a manufacturing business in the tool sector. He soon expanded this to include a general engineering company as well.
Andrew also buys businesses that are struggling due to poor management and utilising tried and tested sound management principles turns these businesses around.
